It’s official, goodbye 100+ l will not miss you one bit! It’s 99.4kg today 😊😊😊!
So another 19.4 to target. Think I’ll reach it ahead of Feb 2023 (expected date from the surgeon)? Honestly I believe so, don’t want to jinx it but …. Ah well, let’s cross fingers.
Celebrating!
Oh hell yeah! My boyfriend bought me two eyeshadows and a concealer (Clarins, of course!) so I spent a good hour scrubbing my face, putting on moisturising masks and all, then covering it all up with makeup!
I feel so beautiful now, winking at all my wrinkles of course, and the only person to show it all off to is my cleaner! Ah well, it’s a good thing l love her!
Ok, admittedly also having a cocktail to toast the victory too 😜.
We are celebrating with my Mirela, cocktails during her break and l’m putting makeup on her at the end so she’s ready to go to her party in the evening. You can tell, she’s special! (Ok, I’m special also, l know!).
Update: Mirela is too tired, so no party and no makeup, ah well.
Walking!
Your mama is walking again! I went to the shopping centre last week, and again yesterday, each time it’s a 2.5km trek return. I feel so good now when walking, first of all because l can actually do it, then while walking I feel so light on my feet you wouldn’t believe. Those trainers l got are amazing, no blisters! And, yes, my legs are a bit trembling at the very end, but aren’t sore the next day!
Karolina
l ditched the personal trainer l was mentioning the other week because I found out that Karolina could help me. She was my personal trainer at a gym l joined back in 2014, in one of my many attempts. She is the best personal trainer you can hope for: hard as f**k on you, pushing you to your limits, but at the same time she has this amazing quality to be able to listen to you, therefore she really knows what your limits are. It helps enormously the fact she is also a good friend, so l cannot wait till she comes over next week for the first consultation and assessment, and a long overdue chat!
Food
Still a problem. In the sense that I cannot eat. Which is kind of good, but you know, Emer my bariatric dietician, has asked me to have 4-5 small meals a day. There is no way l can do that. I eat twice a day. Just not hungry the other times. I do have coffees with lots of highly proteic soy milk, but that’s about it. When l do eat, it is a third of a side plate. Protein is difficult but I force myself to take at least three bites, vegetables are better, carbs are hard.
This does not mean l don’t cook fancy stuff, as I wrote before. Small quantities does not have to mean bland, right?
I cannot face bread anymore. But l can eat half a croissant (a meal!), go figure. No protein in croissants so I’m leaving it alone.
I won't want any advice on nutrition but from Emer, and I'm meeting her shortly, so expect to hear more on Food then.
Sleep
Still a maximum of 5 hrs per night. The victory there is that now it’s not broken sleep. I can sleep all through 2 to 7 in the morning. Have tons of energy, that’s it. And I’m enjoying it.
Work
I changed teams. This means l continue to do the same work as before (IT security program management) but without all the other distracting bits. That’s excellent. I’m yet sussing out the new boss, it will take some time to get adjusted… l really loved my previous one, always making sure l got credit for my work and ensuring executive visibility. Let’s see how this one pans out, the jury is still open.
That's it really, momentous post for me today, and it will only get better, I feel it in my bones!
