Hey! So Glad You're Here.

I'm grateful you are reading this, that you are here with me. As you can see I'm chickening out and not putting my picture out there - even Julia is my middle name, not my first name (but truth be told, I always wanted to be called Julia). 

I feel shame for having made this decision... people call it the easy way out. I don't think that is the case.

I'm more ashamed of this bariatric journey than I am of being so incredibly fat and big. Life is strange indeed sometimes.

I found a fantastic support group on Facebook, and although I do not use Facebook (aside from the account I created for that purpose) I can read real stories, from real people, all there and sharing their journey together.

I created this blog as I need to write a lot, really a lot. I would spam that support group too much, so here I am.

If you want to stick around you'll make me very happy.
